RVSM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minima) is a key regulation that allows for a reduction in vertical separation between aircraft, improving airspace efficiency and the capacity of air traffic controllers. Under RVSM, aircraft can operate closer together at flight levels between FL290 (29,000 ft) and FL410 (41,000 ft), optimizing traffic flow and reducing flight times.
