The ILAC Language School offers a range of language programs for aviation, transport, and tourism professionals. These include the Diploma in English for Civil Aviation—a university-level technical program—the ICAO Operational English Program, and ICAO operational level proficiency testing for licensed aviation personnel. We also provide language labs and additional learning resources through our Language Training Center.
We are proud to introduce the first General English Teaching Program focused on Aviation, Transport, and Tourism (English Competency Program – PCI) in Latin America and globally.
Our research department has identified that the primary cause of English language gaps among Spanish speakers is inadequate English instruction during their formative school years.
Our research shows that adult learners often experience significant frustration, and that past difficulties in learning English typically stem from ineffective teaching methods, poorly guided tool usage, and a lack of competency-based instruction.
General English Training with a Focus on Aviation, Transport & Tourism
ILAC Language School
We are a team of English language teaching professionals with extensive experience designing aviation-focused training programs.
The ILAC Language School’s mission is to develop personal and professional English communication skills tailored to aviation, transportation, and tourism.
We deliver comprehensive training aligned with international standards—including the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and ICAO—combining innovative teaching methods, educational technology, and a student-centered approach. Our goal is to develop confident communicators ready for high-stakes, high-precision environments—supported by rigorous academic standards and ongoing student guidance throughout the program.
To develop English communication skills for individuals working—or looking to work—in tourism, transportation, and aviation, with a particular focus on technical and operational personnel, enabling them to achieve functional proficiency in both general and aviation English, in line with CEFR and ICAO standards.
The program promotes effective, safe, and precise communication across operational, administrative, and academic settings in aviation, transportation, and tourism.
The PCI program is designed for technicians and professionals in transportation, particularly air traffic controllers, pilots, cabin crew, technical staff, engineers, and administrative and operational personnel in aviation and tourism—as well as students and industry-linked professionals who need to certify their English proficiency for work or academic purposes.
The program combines general English, aviation English, and transportation & tourism English with soft skills training—integrating communication, listening, reading, speaking, writing, critical thinking, and collaborative activities.
Adult learners facing operational challenges benefit from first building general language skills tailored to their professional profiles, since gaps in foundational knowledge can lead to frustration and hinder—or even block—career advancement.
In other words, the program builds from solid foundations, with a competency-based approach specifically oriented to the learners’ needs.
Beyond operational certifications, this competency-based program gives students the opportunity to earn University of Cambridge certifications as part of their personal and professional development.
The program is also offered in partnership with the University of Buenos Aires, with access to its language laboratories.
The dedication and rigor applied to foundational training enable students to progressively build toward different operational technical certifications, developing solid, stackable knowledge over time.
