The courses offered by the Language Training Center of the Latin American Institute of Civil Aviation aim to provide programs that ensure compliance with the international regulatory mandate of ICAO and its Member States, enabling participants to achieve the various operational language levels required for safe operations.
The Diploma provides language teaching professionals with the tools to become specialized trainers, capable of preparing and delivering English for Aviation classes tailored to the needs of various industry professionals.
The diploma consists of 6 modules covering aeronautical topics. Participants will learn about the linguistic needs of air traffic controllers, dispatchers, pilots, aeronautical station operators, mechanics, and cabin crew (TCP). In addition, the program includes forums to discuss the importance of language proficiency in aviation communications.
The course focuses on adult teaching and learning processes, helping participants choose the best strategies and tools for planning English training for specific purposes. Each module includes self-assessments and exercises to monitor progress, followed by a formal evaluation at the end of each module to ensure that participants have acquired the necessary knowledge to advance.
To obtain the Diploma in English for Aviation, students must complete a Final Integrative Project, allowing them to apply everything learned throughout the course.
